VACANCY - Warehouse Supervisor (Exeter)

Full time permanent role. Monday to Friday Exeter, UK

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager & Operations Manager, this exciting and wide-ranging role within the Warehouse that will enable the right candidate to develop a career within a market leading agricultural parts business.

This is a fast-moving operation with strict deadlines to achieve to ensure incoming goods are processed, put into the correct locations and ready to despatch to our customers.

The successful person will support the achievement of all operational processes within the role, costs attributed, customer service, people management and compliance, (including security, and Health & Safety). Ensuring that we are meeting objectives and deadlines effectively, on time, and within budget.

Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility - Day-to-day management of Warehouse Operatives through leadership, coaching and motivation, with support from the Assistant Supervisor - Team engagement and motivation to achieve continuous productivity and housekeeping improvements, linked to established bonus schemes - Understand and achieve Key Performance Indicators, target service levels and all other metrics - Ensure contingency plans are in place to cover holidays and absence - Communication of performance levels to the team through briefing sessions and training - Identify and initiate steps for performance improvement - Understand company quality standards and ensure compliance - Align with internal customers in other departments to ensure high performance teamwork - Actively follow guidance and policies in relation to equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion, security, and confidentiality. - Perform any reasonable requests from Warehouse/Operations Manager.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and attributes: - Experience of working within a similar fast paced and busy environment - Experience of managing and leading a team - Be a strong team player and enjoy working with others to achieve the best result - Ability to work under pressure to meet required deadlines - Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills - Proactive and positive approach to problem solving - Attention to detail - Good dexterity - Self-motivated and the ability to motivate others - Flexibility within the role to cover other shifts as necessary - Willingness to develop within the Company through formal learning Company Use - Stock Management Software /Stock control management - Good IT and administration skills - Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in your approach to work

Advantageous - Full manual driving licence advantageous (possible requirement to visit other warehouses) - Forklift Truck License (desirable but not essential as training will be given) - Stock Management Software experience - Current First Aid certificate

This role will enable the right candidate to develop a career within a market leading agricultural machinery parts business.

Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility: - Support the supervisor with the day-to-day management of warehouse operatives through leadership, coaching and motivation - Understanding and achievement of Key Performance Indicators, target service levels and other metrics - Align with internal customers in other departments to ensure high performance teamwork - Provide cover in the absence of the departmental supervisor - Maintain high levels of Health & Safety standards - Achieve the targets and job standards set out by the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager - Be committed to developing and ensuring best practice and compliance - Actively follow guidance and policies in relation to equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion, security, and confidentiality. - Perform any reasonable requests from Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.
